How Nordic Doctors Abroad handles information about members, volunteers, donors and others who contact us. Effective from 23 October 2026. This is a translation; the Danish version applies.

What information we process and why

We never ask for your national ID number, and we do not sell or share your information for marketing.
Who sees your information
Only the board has access. We use these suppliers, who process information on our behalf and within the EU:
- Fly.io: hosting of the membership system on servers in Frankfurt
- one.com: website and email
Vipps MobilePay and our bank are themselves data controllers for the payments you make with them.
How long we keep it
- Membership data: for as long as you are a member and up to 12 months after your membership ends
- Interest list: until you ask us to delete you, and no longer than 2 years after you signed up
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We only keep a record that your email has unsubscribed so that you receive no further newsletters
- Payments and donations: 5 years after the end of the financial year, as required by the Bookkeeping Act. They are then deleted
Your rights
You have the right to access the information we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also ask us to restrict processing, object to it and receive your information in a common format. If you have given consent, you can always withdraw it. Write to info@nordicdoctorsabroad.dk.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, datatilsynet.dk.
Cookies
The website only uses cookies that are necessary for it to work. We do not use cookies for statistics or marketing.
Changes
We update this policy when we change the way we process information. The current version is always on this page.
